The following instructions are for System Administrators that want to uninstall the PaperCut Application Server. However if you don’t work in an IT department and you just want to remove the PaperCut client from your personal laptop, we recommend looking at this other article on how to uninstall the PaperCut User Client.
Important note if you are using version PaperCut MF 24.0.1 or later, or PaperCut NG 24.0.3 or later You should Deactivate your installation before uninstalling PaperCut. This will release your entitlements in case you need to claim them through a different Application Server. See Managing entitlements (Releasing all entitlements from an Application Server) for more information. Uninstalling PaperCut from Windows servers All installed components of PaperCut can be removed via the Add or Remove Programs dialog.
If PaperCut is not present in Add or Remove Programs you can remove it using the directions for automating removal.
Uninstalling PaperCut from macOS servers The PaperCut application server component can be removed by running the Uninstall.command script in the installation directory (e.g. /Applications/PaperCut NG).
Other components can be removed by deleting the installation directory from Applications.
Uninstalling PaperCut from Linux servers The PaperCut application server component can be removed by running the uninstall script in the installation directory. (e.g. cd ~papercut; sudo ./uninstall )
Temporary root access is required for the uninstall. Make sure the root password or sudo password is handy.
Other components can be removed by deleting the installation directory.
Uninstalling PaperCut from Novell servers The PaperCut application server component can be removed by running the uninstall script in the installation directory.
Other components can be removed by deleting the installation directory.
