If you’re looking for help logging in then check out our How do I log in? article
Since version 14.1, PaperCut MF and NG let users log in with their email address instead of their username. This works out of the box—no extra configuration needed. It applies across all interfaces, including the user web interface, release stations, MFDs, web release, and the mobile client.
The only requirement is that each user’s Email field is populated in their PaperCut user profile. This is usually handled automatically when users are synchronized from a directory . For example, if a user’s Active Directory account includes an email address, it will sync to PaperCut.
Once that’s in place, users can simply enter their email address and domain password to log in. This helps in organizations where users might not know their username (sAMAccountName), or when someone forgets it.
Verify or update the email address of a user To check or update a user’s email address:
In the PaperCut admin interface, go to Users. Select the user you want to view or edit. Open the Details tab. Enter the address in the Primary email or Other emails field. To populate these fields automatically, see the User and Group sync section of the manual for details on syncing email addresses from Active Directory, Azure AD, LDAP, Google, and other directory sources.
Other scenarios There can be other ways that your users can log in with their ‘email address’ - depending on which sync source you’re using (e.g. Azure AD vs Windows Active Directory), so it’s worth checking out the article How to configure PaperCut to allow users to log in with an alternate username if the above information doesn’t cover your requirements.
