How to enable language selection for supported MFDs PaperCut MF now includes the ability for a user to select their preferred language for the user interface on the embedded application for certain platforms
Check out this video which walks the administrator through the steps to enable specific languages for an MFD and shows how the user can choose their preferred language for translated instructions throughout the interface.
It’s currently supported on the following PaperCut embedded applications:
Konica Minolta in PaperCut MF v19.0 Kyocera in PaperCut MF v19.1 Ricoh in PaperCut MF v19.1 Sharp in PaperCut MF v20.0 Toshiba V3+ in PaperCut MF v21.0 Canon (MEAP) in PaperCut MF v24.1.1 Frequently Asked Questions Can I edit this from the Admin interface? Not at this time. When a user registers their selection at the MFD for the first time, PaperCut stores the language selection in the following location inside the database: tbl_user_attribute table where the attrib_name is user-default-locale. This configuration persists across devices. We don't reccomend editing this. If you want to learn more you can check out our Database Schema, or check out our Example SQL queries if you're using an extranal database.
