Revoking PaperCut's access to my Cloud Storage

“Help! My organization uses PaperCut and I don’t want PaperCut to be able to upload scanned files to my cloud storage account anymore. What do I need to do to stop these scanned files from appearing?” Why would PaperCut have access to my Cloud Storage? When you scanned your first page using PaperCut, you received an email message where PaperCut would have asked for permission to be able to write files to your cloud storage account. Why would I want to revoke access to my Cloud Storage? Maybe you’ve decided to clean up your online footprint, so now you’re re-evaluating what 3rd party applications you’ve let into your life. Or maybe when “next, next, next-ed” your way through the instructions you forgot your friend was signed into the web browser on your computer, and now YOUR precious scans are going into THEIR cloud storage. Either way, it sounds like it’s time for you (or your friend) to log into that cloud storage account and look at what apps have permissions and then tidy them away like Marie Kondo. How long will it take to revoke access to my Cloud Storage? For any given Cloud Provider it can take several hours for the revocation to propagate and be enacted in your environment, so weight up whether or not the timing in the day is appropriate for you before removing the MF Scan app from your account. How do I revoke PaperCut’s access to my Cloud Storage? The instructions on how to revoke an app’s access to your account will vary depending on which Cloud Storage Provider you have allowed access to: Box Go to this page then follow the steps to access Account Settings → Security → Login activity and select ‘Forget’ for the PaperCut app. Dropbox Go to this page then follow the steps under How to disconnect a third-party app from your Dropbox account. Google Drive Go to this page and follow the steps under Remove a site or app with access to your account. OneDrive Personal; Go to this page, find PaperCut and click Edit then Remove these Permissions. OneDrive for Business / SharePoint These steps are the same for either Azure Cloud endpoint, the only difference being the name of the App that you revoke. Scans for PaperCut MF is for OneDrive for Business and PaperCut MF Scan to Sharepoint is for Sharepoint. As an end user login here. Click your profile image and select My account and then App permissions. Revoke the permissions for the relevant PaperCut MF app. When asked to confirm this action, click the OK prompt. If you find you still are having issue with revoking your OneDrive for Business or SharePoint app, or if your permission for the PaperCut MF app is granted on your behalf by an Azure Admin, you’ll need to remove the PaperCut MF app in the following areas also: As an Azure user, login to the My Apps Portal area. Find your relevant PaperCut MF Scan app, right click it and select Remove. Please note: As an Azure Tenant Administrator it is possible to remove the Scan app for all users for the Azure Active Directory for the entire tenancy but this will consequently require all PaperCut MF users to re-authorize at an MFD to add their app back again if they require it. What do I need to do if I want to revoke access and then simply re-add the app? Once the scan app is removed successfully all you need do is start a new Scan to Cloud job at a MFD and this will trigger a new authorization email to be sent to your email address listed in PaperCut MF.
